I started this post on August 4, 2015.
Well…I clicked on the start a new post button. Then I got nervous and worked on
“content” for the blog. I have an extreme fear of public speaking. This for me is on that level. I prefer to work behind the scenes. I’m perfectly in my element being the bass of any symphony composition. But I’ve always had this passion for entrepreneurship and when asked what I wanted to do with my life up until this point, I just knew that I wanted my own company.
In my young life, one thing that I’ve learned for sure already is that life is too short to not go after what you want. Right now, I’m a special education teacher. I love my students. I’m blessed to know them. But if I’m honest with myself, it’s not where my passion is. I love home-making and all things pretty. I don’t think that’s a confession that I’m supposed to make as a modern woman…but it’s who I am. I love being a girl…a woman. I love cooking for my fiancé. I love decorating. I love things that smell good and art and monograms and furniture and thrifting for furniture to restore. I love painting and sewing and making wreaths. I love cupcakes and cakes and the aroma of them from the oven. I love making things. I love taking pictures and making them pretty. If I could cook and clean and decorate all day with arts and craft breaks until my fiancé got home, I would be living my dream! So that’s what I’m working towards now…Making a living doing what I love. I know that I’m only limited by the limited prayers I pray. I know that God wants me to live out the dreams that He’s whispered in my heart. I’m really excited to see where He leads me throughout this process.
It is now August 28, 2015! Welcome to LINEN & SALT.
